AustriaRoadGuide is an independent information resource. We do not accept payment for editorial content, sponsored articles, or favourable mentions. All content is produced based on our assessment of what is most useful and accurate for travellers.

Our content is reviewed against official ASFINAG publications, Austrian federal legislation, and verified traveller reports. We clearly distinguish between factual information and editorial opinion.

Accuracy and Update Policy

We review all pricing information annually, following ASFINAG's official tariff announcements (typically in autumn). Regulatory information is reviewed when Austrian traffic law changes are published. We aim to update content within 30 days of any significant change.

Despite our best efforts, information may become outdated between review cycles. We strongly recommend verifying current prices and regulations directly with ASFINAG before making any purchase decisions.

Boundaries and Exceptions

1. We do not sell vignettes. AustriaRoadGuide is purely an information resource. Any purchase must be made through ASFINAG or authorised retailers.
2. We do not provide legal advice. Information about fines and enforcement is for general guidance only. For specific legal situations, consult a qualified Austrian lawyer.
3. We do not guarantee accuracy. While we strive for accuracy, regulations and prices change. Always verify with official sources.
4. We do not cover commercial vehicles. Our guides focus on private vehicles under 3.5 tonnes. GO-Box and commercial vehicle regulations are outside our scope.
5. We do not cover all Austrian toll roads. Private toll roads (e.g., Felbertauern) are outside the ASFINAG system and are not covered in detail.
6. We do not provide real-time traffic information. Route planning and traffic conditions should be checked via dedicated navigation services.
7. We do not accept liability for third-party links. Links to ASFINAG and other external sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
8. We do not retain personal data beyond what is necessary. Contact form submissions are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Complaints and Corrections

If you believe any information on this site is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "CORRECTION". Include the specific page URL, the incorrect information, and the correct information with a source reference if possible.

We will review all correction requests within 5 business days and update content as appropriate. We will acknowledge receipt of your message within 1 business day.
